New Pool Construction
Building a swimming pool doesn't have to be stressful. Good communication, organization, and attention to detail are key factors to the success of your new project. We have outlined our construction process below to give you an idea of what you can expect.
Initial Consultation
Our first meeting is our chance to get to know you, your needs, and your backyard. We take this opportunity to listen to what kind of swimming pool environment you want and take measurements of your space before we begin to develop your future pool.
Design Follow Up
During this meeting, we will review your swimming pool and backyard design, seeking feedback from you so that we can finalize the plan.
Excavation
This is when we “break ground”. We now begin to remove the soil and form out the shell of your new pool.
Steel
During this phase, we install the steel “skeleton” of your swimming pool shell. Each swimming pool has a unique steel “skeleton” developed by a structural engineer in order to provide the strongest swimming pool possible based on your property.
Shotcrete
This is when things really start to take shape. Pneumatically applied concrete is used to provide the structural “shell” of your pool. At Fluid Pool Designs, we apply only wet gunite or Shotcrete instead of dry gunite because of its superior strength. Shotcrete, not dry gunite, meets or exceeds the requirements of every municipality we serve.
Hardscape
During this phase, we start to dress things up. Tile, coping, concrete, stone, BBQ’s, and walls. This is when your dream really starts to come together. At Fluid Pool Designs, we pride ourselves on seeing the whole project and making it a reality. We will make sure you have everything you need for your present or future needs such as lighting, irrigation, and audio visual options. We do our best to make sure that after the hardscape is done you don’t say, “Gee, I wish we thought of …”
Pool Finish
At this stage, once everything else is complete, we install the interior finish of your pool. Whether it is classic white plaster or various pebble finishes we have a color and finish that you will enjoy for many years.
Orientation
Your relationship with Fluid Pool Designs does not need to end when construction has been completed. At Fluid Pool Designs, we provide you with a start up and swimming pool care package provided by a Certified Swimming Pool Operator. We will answer all of your new pool questions as well as provide you with professional service recommendations.
